Automatic hiding of sold-out products as its own setting

The automatic disabling of previously sold-out products required both stock monitoring and the setting of stock levels to be enabled. This limited the use of the function in situations where stock management is used in different ways.

Now the functionality has been separated into its own setting: Disabled Products Sold Out can be found in the admin panel under Configurations > Stock. This setting allows you to decide whether you want sold-out products to be automatically hidden from the online store.

When the function is enabled:

• Products whose stock drops to zero are automatically turned off.

• They are not visible publicly in the store.

• They are assigned a noindex meta tag, preventing search engines from indexing them.

• Product pages technically remain active (no 404 error), preserving the possibility for example for remarketing or administrative tracking.

This provides more flexibility in stock management and helps optimize the customer experience and search engine visibility.
