In the AI Commerce environment, a new feature has been implemented that allows the attachment of files (such as images and PDF documents) to orders. Customers can provide all kinds of visual or text-based materials that clarify the ordering process and help ensure that the necessary information is correct and sufficient. An attachment size limit of 10 MB per file is set; raising this limit is possible in collaboration with the partner, although it is not recommended for security reasons.
Security is enhanced by AI Commerce's virus scanning performed in a separate data repository. This keeps core functions protected and minimizes the risk of malware. Files compiled in the “Attachments” section are easily accessible from the order overview in the management panel, and they can be further exported to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring that the entire ordering process remains comprehensively documented.
This feature is not enabled by default in all stores, so activation requires a small change to the Checkout file and possibly adding a missing component. It is also advisable to check the numbering of the order summary and the titles of attachments during the update. This renewal significantly clarifies and speeds up the ordering process, but at the same time, it is recommended to keep the file size moderate to ensure storage capacity and data security.
