What are the installation methods for Consent mode v2?

The native Consent Mode v2 implementation of the AI ​​Commerce e-commerce solution offers two installation modes, which are Basic mode and Advanced mode.

  • Basic mode is more reliable from a data protection point of view, but also less reliable when it comes to measuring and targeting advertising results, because Basic mode does not collect data if the user does not give their consent, in which case Google uses estimated averages instead of collected data.
  • Advanced mode also collects anonymous data from users who have refused cookies, offering better results from an advertising point of view. Organizations should choose the installation method based on their goals and the quality of their business.
